For people looking for air data systems, there is an ADS Series air data system SPA20422 which is regulated by a microprocessor. It is used for providing basic information about altitude and airspeed to the vehicles which are self-controlled or unmanned. It has a barometer (absolute) to measure static pressure, a differential barometer for computing pitot pressure and sensors that sense or determine on-board and external temperature. All of these instruments are essential for calculating airspeed.
The microprocessor controlling the vehicle reads the values measured by sensors, adjusts the readings and calculates the required parameter that is, height (altitude), airspeed etc. It has an EEPROM which retains user settings during power down. The circuit board measuring 1.05x 1.15 inches can easily serve this purpose. To measure the altitude, 1/8 inch tubing is used for connections, pitot static and dynamic ports (airspeed measurement). To determine the external air temperature Analog Devices AD590 are used. The accessories meant for air data arrangement are SLC2J09ADS - PC Interface Cable. The cable connects ADS Series air data system to a serial port (PCs RS232) with the help of a connector. This port is 1.22m long and has one more port for 10-32 VDC external power supply.
