I simply loved the truth that many of these random, undiscovered people with gifted voices could go up against light, medium, and harsh judges and find out if they're REALLY gifted singers or not. I had been always a total fan of this show within the first six seasons, but after that, it simply lost its spark.
It's just not interesting anymore; I guess after nine seasons of seeing some teenage and young adult singers walking on stage and belting their hearts out, plus some of them really screwing up, it gets type of old. Now I only watch it for that auditions, because those are hilarious.

Steven Tyler does great,weather he discusses women or otherwise.can't show us a man that doesn't look!!! JLO would be to wishry washeyand must get tough!!! Randy continues to be good!! I loved Simon, but i think steven can provide him a great run. I do not such as the show as much as i did previously, but i watch to see who thinks they're talented. it's surprising that some of these people really survive this planet. there's also some really good singers that deserve an opportunity.

Produced by executives because its far cheaper to produce than the usual real television show, they don't have to pay any actors, plus they get monster ratings by serving up the Identical show every season verbatim. First, auditions... where Simon or the other judges tell everyone how awful they suck, they "weed" out the bad ppl, after which eliminate down to the final person. Then whoever wins American Idol together with 99 percent of everybody who was on the program is forgotten about following a couple of years (Ruben Studdard, Clay Aiken, Justin Guarini, Taylor Hicks etc). Luckily this show is watched by an incredible number of stupid and mindless Americans who are too dumb to realize the network is serving in the exact same thing every year, over and over, and stupid sheep watching it in your own home eat up like dog food while good quality television like Fringe and Human Target need to fight to remain about the airwaves.
I miss the old American Idol when everyone would watch it and talk about it, but now days no one even cares about this show. The show just isn't the same and it is pretty sad how hard it fell. People just don't care any more. I don't know what went wrong or what changed other than the judges, all I know is that it's ratings suck and it's been losing fans through the thousands. I used to watch this show, however it is simply not worth wasting hours watching all the good singers get voted off. Sorry, but it's time for you to leave.
