Most of Thailand's climate represents a tropical climate which means it is hot prety much all year round. Some like to split it into 2 seasons which is just monsoon season also known as rainy reason and dryseason, but I do not think that is very accurate at all as the dry season is different for nearly half the time, I like to split it into hot, hotter and hotest as there is clearly a different 3 times a year. Ofourse this does not count for northern Thailand as in Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai as they have a much cooler climate than central to southern Thailand.
What I call hot season in Thailand is from May to November, from this period is it quite hot but it does rain a lot which is sometimes a blessing from such a hot day, but at times the streets can be flooded with only 10 minutes of heavy rain. But this also does make it humid and sticky at times.
The hotter season is about the same temperature range but much less rainfall, this perion is from about December to February, you do sometimes get cold days here and their but its rare, most of the days are dry and with no rain about it is hot.
The Hot season from March to April, I would have to say April is the hottest month by far in central to southern Thailand, some days you have 4 or 5 days in a row that its like 45 degrees celcius each day and you sweat after walking for only 10 minutes in this heat a lot. But one great thing about Thailand in April is they have a water festival called Songkran, it is also the Thai new year where the whole country go into a huge water fight for days. It is a great way to cool off and is a lot of fun.
To go to Thailand on holidays, probably the best time to go is December and January as its the dryest. If you can handle the heat then March to April is good because there is also less tourists that the December to January period.
