I hate to break this to you, but if you really don't like Taylor Swift, you just might be ugly, nasty and broke. Why? Or how do I know? Its quite easy. This is the kind of person that strongly dislikes someone that is attractive, pleasant and a multi-millionaire.
You may also say that you dislike country music, but Taylors music has crossed labels and really is more pop than country anyway. You many also have thoughts that Taylor is not a polished enough performer. Polished indicating that you relate more to heavily assembled music with pounding kick drums , sang by divas that must do scales and runs any chance they get. Naturally a young girl and her guitar cant compete withthat.
She is just too immaculate, no one is that nice. Quite possibly, but it certainly appears that way,and lets face it she really hasn't had time to have been secretly in rehab. In fact,she has been far too occupied for that. Taylor started creating music around age 12 and then began to submit her demos to each and every publisher in Nashville. She sang county fairs and celebrations and small clubs, and now just a number of years later, she has emerged as what Forbes has labeled as the 12th most powerful celebrity. Instead of being thrown in jail for drugs or stealing necklaces, Taylor has made it a point to be thankful for her fame, and to meet many of her fans personally.
We are all a bit cynical these days. We are constantly bombarded with Jonas brothers and Biebers, but Taylor has one valuableweapon that separates her from the others. She writes her own music. And I must tell you , as a musician songwriter myself, she is good at it. Taylors songs are very personal and to some extent uncomplicated, but that doesn't keep them from being good and beautiful as well. One of my favorites from "Fearless" is "White Horse". That one is a bit country, but solid enough to be a super hit for many other artists. Her lyrics are usually about love and romance but they are quite competent.
Taylor is at present on a world tour following her most recent album, "Speak Now".This is an ambitious tour to say the least. She will be performing from February of 2011 possibly right into 2012. Like her "Fearless" tour, Taylor performs from different spots in the audience, encompassed by her fans. Taylor chose a difficult purpose, and its almost as if she knows, that she has to give it everything she has.
So if you happen to be one of the miserable Taylor haters, I think you should seriously give her another chance. Especially since I believe she will be around playing her music, for a very long time.
