MLM From Home - Legitimate Business Or Not?

MLM From Home - Legitimate Business Or Not?

Many people these days are looking for a way to beat the down economy by starting their own home based business. Some people have turned to network marketing as their business of choice. A big question of many people searching for a way to supplement or replace their income is whether or not MLM from home is a legitimate business.

There are opposing viewpoints regarding the MLM industry as a whole. You speak to one person and they will tell you that network marketing is a scam and to stay far, far away from it. However, the next person will tell you that running an MLM from home is the perfect business and doing so has helped their family tremendously financially.

So how do you know who to listen to and who is telling the truth?

Let's break it down to the bare essentials! First, when speaking to someone about network marketing or running a business in general you have to consider the source. Ask yourself a couple of question like, "is this person successful in business?", "does this person live the lifestyle that I'm looking for?", "does this person actually have experience in the industry and if so how much effort did they really put out?"

Second, look at the facts! MLM has been around for a VERY long time. Have you ever heard of a small company called Amway? They started in the 1950's and pretty much paved the way for the network marketing industry today. They are a multibillion-dollar international business to this date and even have an NBA stadium named after them. Now if running an MLM from home wasn't a legitimate business or a scam, don't you think the authorities would have found the owners of Amway within the last 60 years and shut them down?

Lastly, look at who's connected to the industry. Sir Richard Branson and Donald Trump, two very brilliant business minds, are both connected to the MLM industry. Robert Kiyasaki, author many other best selling books like "Rich-Dad, Poor-Dad", has said that he considers network marketing the perfect business model. Have you ever heard the term "success leaves clues"? I would say that all of these guys know what they are doing when it comes to running a successful business. So ask yourself, why would they choose to associate themselves with MLM if it wasn't a legitimate business?

The question isn't whether or not running an MLM from home is a legitimate business. Facts don't lie and from what has been outlined above, you can see that it is! By doing your due diligence and not listening to other peoples opinions you will see that network marketing works and has helped many people supplement their income and many others achieve a life of financial freedom. So the question shouldn't be about MLM's legitimacy. The question you should be asking yourself is, "is running an MLM from home the right business for me"? Only you can answer that honestly for yourself.

If you have come to the conclusion that running an MLM from home is the right business for you, then there are some tips you should take into consideration before embarking on this endeavor. It is recommended that you find a company that has a product you can be passionate about. Once you do that, have a willingness to learn and be coached, have a no quit attitude but most of all, having FUN with the whole process will help set you up for success in running your new MLM from home!
