The bottom line is, that the higher paying surveys exist, but they are not a consistent resource for earning cash. Depending on who you are, where you live, and your other demographic information, there is a chance you may never be asked to participate in a focus group. You just never know.
There are great opportunities in paid surveys, though. So, before you ditch the paid survey option, you should get realistic and decide what "make a lot of money" means to you. You won't get rich taking surveys, and its unlikely you will be able to support a family, but considering the ease and convenience of earning you can really make some great extra cash each month -- as well as getting free products to test.
Registering for multiple survey companies and taking your pick of the surveys they send, can literally help you earn hundreds of dollars a month in extra income. You may not make as much as you thought, but a little extra cash in your free time while sitting on your couch is hard to beat. Stay realistic and you'll appreciate the extra cash.
