Where Did Globalization Start, Where Will it End, and Who is Going to Win?

Of course, others believe that the Chinese with their silk Roads were indeed the founders of globalization. Then there were the Spanish colonies, the English colonies, and the Dutch Traders, all of which were involved in world trade, setting up outposts and globalizing their civilizations.

During the Ming dynasty, Admiral Zheng sailed off around the world with his treasure fleet, and had that continued the Chinese would have probably been the world's largest super power even today. Unfortunately for them, at the time Confucianism came into play, and the Chinese weren't so interested in the rest of the world, but rather more concerned with their own domain. Today, we see China involved in world trade, at a degree that has never been seen before with any previous human civilization.

In reality it doesn't matter where globalization actually started, or where the concept actually came from. The reality is, it is here to stay, we can't deny it, we can change it, and the human race needs to get along, work together, and use globalization to provide peace and prosperity, yes, and profits to all the populations of the planet. Some of the nations that are not doing so well and have huge trade deficits decry globalization.

Still, if these nations would take care of their own internal problems and get with the program, they may find a globalization would suit them just fine. Globalization rewards productive nations, and it redistributes wealth from nations that are nonproductive, or less productive. If the nation's population wishes to rest on its laurels, or continue infighting amongst its own populations in petty politics, then it will be beaten and surrender its wealth to nations that have their act together and are working as a team. Please consider all this.
