Growing as an outcast his entire life, the village elder comforts the now adult Red Indian/Viking hybrid man & tells him that he is one of their own. He is attracted to a young Red Indian lady of another tribe named Starfire (Moon Bloodgood) & the romance continues in the movie despite the destructive atmosphere. One day, while out hunting in the mountains, he hears the battle horn of the marauding Vikings. His entire tribe is massacred by them & he was unfortunately unable to do anything about it. Left alone & hunted by the Vikings, he manages to fight them with his ability to use the natural elements & his Viking sword. The Pathfinder movie reminds me of the Commando movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger but set in a different age & also minus the invincible warrior mode.
Ghost is wounded, shot with an arrow in the Pathfinder movie. He must find a place to heal, rest, & not to mention find other Red Indian tribes who can fight alongside him against the berserk Vikings. The movie features the fighting skills, weapons, & warring practices of both the Red Indians & Vikings cultures. Ghost, mortally wounded, is found by a neighboring village tribe. He is healed & warns them of the impending doom. The Red Indians fare little chance against the physically larger, armored & better armed Vikings. So, many Red Indian villagers decide to run. The Pathfinder movie directed by Marcus Nispel, shows that during the age, the Red Indians were still using stone & wooden spears as weapons. How quaint. Ghost plans to return the fight to the Vikings & sets traps for them in the Pathfinder movie.
His only way to success is by killing the marauding Vikings one by one. He leads them up a dangerous mountain path & has them tie themselves together for safety. However, the Vikings did not know that they must be secured to the mountain for safety. Hence, when one of them falls, it would cause a domino effect where all of them would fall to their death. Ultimately, it was the power of the avalanche from the snow capped mountains that finally finished off the threat of the Vikings in the movie. The prophecy of Ghost's tribe is fulfilled & he successfully brings peace through the Red Indian lands. The Pathfinder movie seems too realistic where Ghost got the wind kicked out of him too often to be a legend, in my opinion.
