The Boondocks is an award winning Animated comedy, written by Aaron McGruder. It airs on Cartoon Network's Adult swim. It is based on a comic strip of the same name also written by Aaron McGruder.The Boondocks touches topics relating American culture and stereotypes and approaches them with slick humour. The story revolves around the Freeman Family consisting of 10 year old Huey Freeman (A retired domestic terrorist), his younger brother Riley Freeman and their grandfather Robert Freeman.
The Boondocks has been a hit with millions of people and its audience is still growing after airing two seasons the Boondocks is back for it's third and final season. 6 episodes have aired so far and I haven't felt underwhelmed by any single one of them. "It's a Black President, Huey Freeman" was the first episode. It referred to the behaviour of the African American community during the Obama's campaign and after his election. Touching on the irrational support he was given by many. "Smokin' with Cigarettes" the latest episode, recreates the situation of Latarian Milton(The 6 year old who stole his grandmothers car)Humorously portraying andexaggeratingthe insanity of the child.

The Boondocks sends messages while they are brilliantly carved into the shows fun, they are there and they make the boondocks a show worth watching simply because it allows you to take a breather and focus on important issues without sacrificing fun. You never know what's about to hit you. Aaron McGruder has created a brilliant show.
The final season of the Booondocks has been going strong whether the next episode will follow the standard set by it's predecessors remains to be seen but I am confident in the shows ability to impress... and have me rolling over with laughter. If you aren't already I would recommend you keep up to date with the show and it's hilarious episodes.
