Not too long ago, I boarded a long-distance evening flight, and had the pleasure of sitting behind a young woman who had a toddler with her: the child could not have been more than two and a half years old.
If you have ever spent any amount of time with a young person of that age, then you know there is bound to be some interesting scenarios'.
Supper was served and all was well for the first part of the journey. When most people began switching off their lights to get some sleep, our young friend decided to come to life'.
The young boy had such energy and was running all over the place; I could tell his mother was not smiling. She gave him a stern look, but that had no effect at all. She tried to fasten him in his seat, but he let out such screams that she had no choice but to try other means.
She bribed him with warm drinks and sweets, but he would have none of that. His mind was set on running around and discovering the different areas of the plane, without hindrance.
Whenever she tried to force' him back into his seat, he would cry so loud, she had to let him out. Imagine the silence when everyone else is trying to sleep, and you have one unceasing noise that's what this was like.
He was all over the place and I am sure his mom was getting really embarrassed by now. However, I don't think he was bothered by this embarrassment, as he had the look of happiness on his face. This toddler was definitely having a good time and he didn't care what anyone else had to say about it. He definitely wasn't listening to anyone discouraging him or trying to stop him from doing what he wanted to do....what he knew would bring his heart joy.
The toddler finally found himself a rather interesting couple that he decided to sit with and play' with. Luckily, they were understanding and offered to sit with him till he slept.
The couple played with him till he fell asleep (or rather, the child played with the couple), and his mom came to collect him. She thanked the couple ever so much, as she took her son and laid him to sleep in his seat.
So what do these child temper tantrums have to do with your Home Business Success and Failure?
Well, as a home based business owner, there is a lot you can learn from this child and apply to your home based business.
Whenever you're confronted with problems, do you conform' and just sit back and accept what is? Are you eager to learn and discover new things, in spite of other people telling you that you shouldn't do this or it just won't work? Or maybe you have people telling you every reason why you can't or won't find success?
Well, here are a few reasons why this toddler's mind-set would probably gear him to be a success in the Home Business arean.
He's energetic and eager to discover. He is motivated with life and learning and willing to repeat tasks to increase his knowledge. See yourself as that child, and have a great appreciation of what he can achieve. The words NO and CAN'T are not a part of his vocabulary, naturally. These are words introduced to him.
When you set about your tasks for your home based business, tackle them as a child would tackle whatever he wishes to accomplish. You will be willing to try and you will have your way. This will lead to a new and exciting way to work, think and solve problems. Face any fears and challenges in your home business fearlessly.
Do you have the CAN-DO' attitude of a child? Are you building your home based business with the energy and keenness of a child? If you aren't, you may keep trying to figure out how you will succeed in MLM.
Because when all's said and done, to succeed in your home business, you will have to learn, apply and be willing to stake your reputation on your beliefs. Opposite to that, is that you conform and follow everyone else; be like everyone else and listen when they tell you it can't be done.
