As you might imagine, since Seville is an old city, many of the old architectural buildings still stand and are breathtaking to behold. For instance, the Cathedral of Seville was built between 1401 and 1519 it one of the largest Gothic and medieval cathedrals in Spain. An interesting fact is that the cathedral stands on the same area that was once a mosque and even some of the larger columns inside the cathedral are from the mosque that stood in the same place.

Next, there is Alcazar, which is a royal palace that took 500 years to build and began in 1181. It is a huge palace that has various blocks or segments that you will be in awe of when you visit. It is a must-see when you travel to Seville. You can stand in the same area where many monarchs lived and ruled over the many years that the structures have been in place.

You will also want to visit the Torre del Oro, which was a dynasty built as a watchtower on the river, today it is above the water and definitely worth checking out. You will find many museums while in Seville including The Army Museum, The Carriages Museum, the Flamenco Art Museum, and The Bullfight Museum, to name a few.
