subject: Conquer Your Debt Problems Today [print this page] This time of year can often result in being the busiest of them all. Going to parties, doing shopping, working, organising, travelling to see other family members, things can get a bit crazy. Consumer spending increases massively at this time of year and people can often find themselves running short, especially if they haven't budgeted wisely throughout the year to cover these extra costs.
Come January time it is possible that you could face unanticipated debt problems and find yourself knee deep in credit card bills that you cannot pay. However free help with debts is very much available if you want some simple advice and pointers to getting out of your Christmas debt. Here are a few tips in the meantime to begin your debt solution plan:
-Cut up your credit cards to reduce further spending
-Cut back on lavish spending in everyday life
-Pay minimum amounts on credit cards where possible as this will help avoid extra high interest charges.
However things may have risen to the next level where you may need free help with debts in relation to bailiffs, county court judgements , charging orders, debt harassment and default notices. Knowing how to deal with these things which you may not know about can be very daunting but free help with debts can lift some of this stress that can come with having debt problems.
It is also possible to get free help with debts on a larger scale with debt solutions plans. The first option to look at would be a Debt Consolidation Loan. An advantage of this is that it will not affect your credit rating in the future. Other debt solutions could be a Debt Management Plan, (DMP) which can often be arranged by a debt solutions company. They will manage your repayments and you will not have to personally deal with your creditors. Although it is possible in some cases, this method of debt repayment will not guarantee that your interest charges will be frozen.
An IVA is another option to look into when looking for free help with debts. This is a larger scale plan where you will pay back debts over a 5 year period with an agreed amount to pay each month. Unlike a DMP all interest will be frozen and no more debt will be accumulated during this time.
If you are worrying about debt today it is best to address these problems instead of sweeping them under the rug.
