Have you heard the hype about Sonic Producer? It's everywhere. I'm constantly reading how killer the beats are. I'm skeptic because internet based programs shouldn't be able to do real time beats. There's just no way this can be possible.
So I decided to buy Sonic Producer and try it for myself.
I'm not going to bore you with the details of signing up. Let me just say they sell you quick. Before you know it, you're getting your wallet out!
Now a little about the program
I'd like to point out now that I'm not a newbie when it comes to making beats.
The first thing I really wanted to check out was how the songs played back over the internet. I mean, you can use 16 tracks, which takes a bit of processor speed to make work. Yea, I was right to doubt. Whenever I pressed play, I received all kinds of playback jitters. For whatever it's worth, when I played the track after bouncing it as an mp3, I didn't hear any of those issues.
I can't say I was really surprised though. And I was actually ok with it. I mean what can you really expect for a program that charges less then $30? Don't try to make it something it's not. If you want a recording studio type situation, you're going to have to shell out hundreds of dollars. Whether that be on the software to run things, or the sounds itself.
Where this program seemed to redeem itself was in the sounds. The samples I went through had some positives to them. I'm now thinking, OK, this isn't too bad anymore.
But then I ran into more problems. It didn't keep me from returning the software, but it was close... Check out the rest of my Sonic Producer Reviews.
