Cristina, who is anxious to prove herself but suffering from some insecurities, is pushed to the brink during the operation as she struggles to keep the patient alive while calling for help. Assistance does not arrive as Teddy sits back reading a magazine and uses this as a teachable moment. The patient almost dies but who cares! Yang ends up learning a valuable lesson and gains some much needed confidence.
