The artificial trees can be decorated in a similar manner as real Christmas tree. This is however dependent on the material used to make them since some may be highly inflammable and limit the use of electrical decorations. It is also quite possible to find artificial trees which are so much alike to their real counterparts that telling them apart may take quite a bit of observation. Some are able to be so alike to the real trees that they emit a similar smell as real trees. Other artificial trees for Christmas are packaged with Christmas lights in place and all one has to do is to plug them to a power supply.
Artificial trees for Christmas are highly favored because they offer the ability to be re-used. The trees are also considerably cheaper compared to real ones. However, they do still raise contention with regards to their disposal since plastic is not easily degradable. It is on the other hand possible to recycle them since they are made of PVC and used for a number of other functions.
