About Penang
Penang is the second smallest among states in Malaysia on the northwest coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The land area is 1,046.3km2 .It is surrounding by Strait of Malaca. Georgetown is the capital of Penang state.

Penang Island and Seberang Prai was connected by Penang bridge or ferry. The Penang bridge is the longest bridge in Asia which long 13.5 kilometers. The second Penang bridge link between Island and Seberang Prai is under construction and will be completed by year 2011.
In Penang, there is comprise mainly from three ethnics; Chinese, Malay and Indian. That why you can heard many local person well speak Hokkien dialect among three ethnics. Common languages used by Penang citizen are English, Mandarin, Malay, Tamil, Hokkien and Teochew.
