Very early in the morning, you will leave the City of Nairobi and head towards the most beautiful mountain in the country and the second largest in Africa. You will pass this heavenly view and head forward to the Samburu Game Reserve. Enjoy viewing the never ending slopes of the mountain and the beautiful farmlands around. When you get to the game reserve, you have a choice of either setting camp at the edge of the Ewaso Nyiro River or you can set camp under the canopy of trees. The scenery here is beautiful and refreshing. 'Uaso Nyiro' means brown and the natives [Samburu tribesmen] gave the river this name as it is always brown in color. You will later have time to take a game drive around the game reserve. This should take you up to the evening. After the tour, you will return to your campsite for diner and an overnight stay. You will be able to take cold showers that will refresh you in the hot and dusty Samburu weather. In the morning of the second day, you will be able to take breakfast in the open plains. There after, you will have a game drive in the park. Early in the morning, you can go leopard hunting if you want to have a view of these gorgeous cats. They spend the daytime hiding under rocks and tree branches and they can only be viewed very early in the morning or late in the evening as they hunt for prey. Elephants and crocodiles can be seen around the river.
