5. Haiti
The Republic of Haiti is a Caribbean country on the island of Hispaniola, bordered by the Dominican Republic. Ranked as the 11th most unstable country in the world, Haiti's dictators and abundance of dishonest politicians have ensured that it is the least developed country in the Americas, home to private military groups and terrorist death squads.
6. North Korea
The Democratic People's Republic of Korea resides in East Asia and occupies the northern half of the Korean Peninsula. Ranked as the 13th most unstable country in the world it is impossible to travel to the country without a government minder. According to Amnesty International, North Korea has the worst Human Rights record of any nation. Around one in every 100 Koreans has reported torture, rape, medical experimentation, starvation and forced abortions in detention camps.
7. Sierra Leone
The Republic of Sierra Leone resides in west Africa and is bordered by Guinea and Liberia. The country is deep rooted in corruption, has low life expectancy of only 46 years, severe poverty and extreme violence in the form of endless civil war.
