The idea of this effect can be very strong. if you study mentalism or just have good patter this can be a bit scary for your spectator. the pros: spectator can hold the bottle and it can crush gimmick free allowing you to work on your presentation.
The cons: the gimmick is large, uncomfortable, and basically limits your range of motion and for you to do this one effect then take off. dont expect to go into coin or card magic after as you will be wearing long sleeves and have that gimmick still present. once again good idea, way over priced for it's impracticality, horrible gimmick, powerful effect, but it is possible to perform this.

I bought this when it was first released and I was thoroughly impressed and pleased to see the simplicity behind both the gimmicked and ungimmicked version. Of course all of the reason I have read where people complain about a certain aspect of the effect, is something I found to be cleverly thought out. This effect is hardly difficult to perform because of an extra bit of clothing that is needed to perform the effect. Then again there are a ton of effects out there that have some of the same requirements and that has never caused me any problems in the past, so I find the grounds to complain about this is laughable.
As for the ungimmicked version, it's so incredibly simple yet it hits extremely hard! Even if you did have some knowledge from science class doesn't affect what it is you're performing. The people I have shown the ungimmicked version, know full well but they never put two and two together to try and figure out how Crush is accomplished. So if you happened to perform the effect for a friend or family member, and they figured it out, then it's highly likely that it was the performance, not the effect that caused them to figure it out.
In closing, I highly recommend this effect because it's so extremely visual, easy to perform and overall just an amazing effect. But just like anything in magic, if you practice the effect enough then you should not have a single problem with the effect, so pick up a copy if you really want to freak out your spectators with an effect that really defies explanation.
