subject: A Review Of The Renault Grand Scenic [print this page]

With the launch of the Grand Scenic, Renault has one of the most popular people's carriers in its stable. The car is the perfect combination of comfort, sharp looks and spacious interiors.

One of the biggest drawbacks of the Renault Scenic was that it was able to accommodate only five people. However, with the launch of the Grand Scenic the seating capacity has increased to seven and there is more passenger and luggage storage space. The Renault Grand Scenic comes with an optional two seats in the rear, which can be folded to produce a large luggage area. In fact, most of the seats in the rear can be adjusted to provide more luggage space as well as styled to maximise the passenger and luggage space.

The front seats of the car are comfortable and offer plenty of head and leg room. The second row of the car can comfortably accommodate up to three adults. The third row seats of the car can be folded to increase the boot space from 208 litres to 702 litres.

The middle row seats of the car can also be folded to provide easy access to the third row seats. If you fold the middle and the last row, the boot space of the car is increased to a massive 2063 litre. The Renault Grand Scenic also has door pockets and a glove box, which adds to the storage space.

Most people find it difficult to drive an MPV, especially an MPV that measures four and a half metres in length. However, the company has instilled a high degree of maneuverability in the car, which makes driving easy and comfortable. The road grip of the car is good, which makes driving in areas that have poor road conditions easy. Steering of the car is smooth, which makes driving comfortable.

The engine of the car is powerful and can move large families with large amounts of luggage effortlessly. Despite the size of the car, it offers excellent front visibility and this adds to the safety and comfort of the person driving the car.

The Renault Grand Scenic is available in four models:

a) Extreme

b) Expression

c) Dynamique

d) Privilege

Extreme is the base model of the car and includes features like electric front windows, ESP stability control, basic CD stereo and air-conditioning.

Expression has the most features that customers look for, like trays on the front seat, a TFT display screen on its dashboard, and sun blinds for the second row seats. The Dynamique model of the Grand Scenic, apart from having all the features of Expression, has alloy wheels, MP3 connectivity, keyless entry and many other features that car owners will love.

The Scenic is one of the best-selling MPV cars and Renault has learnt a lot about the taste and preferences of buyers. The Grand Scenic is an extension of the Scenic and has been made more spacious and user-friendly. The car is safe to drive and has a strong body. However, if you intend to buy a good-looking car, you may be disappointed with the Grand Scenic. Both the interior and the exterior of the car need to improve. Also, the rear seat of the car does not fold flat, which causes inconvenience.
