Places to See
Places to See

One thing that many people comment on is the lush landscapes that are seen all around Ireland. However, there are so many other places to see that are much more than rolling green hills and paddocks:

Bru na Boinne a range of prehistoric monuments that can be found along the banks of the Boyne river

The Burren many people compare this plateau to that of the moons surface

The Hill of Tara it wont be until you have seen the audiovisual show at the local church, that you start to understand the importance of this site

Dublin City this relatively small city is best discovered via bus or foot and offers almost endless historic sights and impressive museums

Glendalough one of the most important sites relating to Christianity in Ireland and set amongst peaceful lakes

Lakes of Killarney and Ring of Kerry the destination to visit if scenery is what youre looking for; mountains, coastline, lakes, castles and ancient monuments

The Giants Causeway a true representation of Mother Nature at her best

Cliffs of Moher this area is said to be one of the most impressive coastal areas in Europe

Sligo and Surrounds the surrounds of Sligo are steeped in history including the largest stone age cemetery, which can be found at Carrowmore

Bunratty Castle and Folk Park built in 1476, this castle has been painstakingly restored and now offers a medieval banquet in the evening

Travel Insurance is Important

When booking your holiday to Ireland, always remember to purchase travel insurance. Not only will this offer peace of mind while travelling throughout the country, but will also cover you for expensive medical treatment should you fall ill or happen to be involved in an accident. Another added benefit of taking out travel insurance is that if something is stolen from you, or your luggage is lost, many travel insurance policies will cover the cost of their replacement also.

There are plenty of ways to find a great deal on travel insurance to cover you when visiting the great country of Ireland. Simply ask your travel agent or, better yet, jump online and search for a quote there.
