At first it was Diwali and now, Christmas. No matter what the festival is Cars manufacturers waste no opportunity to attract buyers into making that dream car purchase. The advertisements on newspapers are creating a fuzz on people as attractive car offers are being laid out for them. Almost every car manufacturer has added some form of offers and promos which aims to accelerate the demand for cars in the market. Among the attractive offers are that of Chevrolet, the company owned by General motors, which announced a reduction Rs 50,000 on one of its small car. Also Ditto, the Italian car brand has freebies worth Rs 55,000 on its Punto and Linea when purchased. The major trend is going in automobile market where the manufacturers are looking forward to bring customers to their showrooms and think about purchasing their car models. The offerings include all of the attractive techniques such as freebies, cash discount, coins of gold and silver, gift hampers, scratch cards, lucky draws and many others. One of the biggest reasons behind the lucrative offers of companies is to clear their backlog stocks and make enough space that would make way for their upcoming stocks which will come on January. This move is seen to help car manufacturers clean the dealership stock so that a new arrival on January 2011 can take place. Also enjoying the season's opportunity, Maruti Suzuki, the biggest car manufacturer in India declared that they are giving a maximum offering of Rs 40,000 value on its Maruti SX4. On the other hand, Hyundai Motors also offer Rs 45,000 worth of benefits on its favorite model Hyundai Verna. According to market research, the automobile companies are adding new versions to their existing models thus these offers will help clear the stock in dealerships. Most of the new versions of the automobile companies will arrive in early 2011. However, few companies have different stand points in this situation. According to P Balendran, vice-president for corporate affairs of General Motors, the company's offers and schemes has nothing to do with the stock clearance but it is a way to celebrate the 100 years of company existence. General Motors also introduced the opportunity to save up to Rs 21,00 to Rs 50,000 on Chevrolet Spark and Chevrolet Beat. The diesel version of the latter will be released in the market by 2011.
