Some of his well known ballets include such household names as Swan Lake, Cinderella and Edward Scissorhands. These magical ballet productions are often performed during the holidays and are becoming an ever increasing holiday tradition in many parts of the world.
There are other ballets which are worth considering during the holiday season, but are not quite as popular. Les Patinurs (The Skaters), for instance, is a mesmerizing tale set in the beauty of an English winter and is full of festive Christmas music and tinkling bells. Choreographed by Fredrick Ashton, this production has been pleasing holiday audiences since 1937 when it was first performed by the Royal Ballet.
