It is Flue Season here in the desert. I suppose it is flu season everywhere in the World. I dont have the flu. My son was nice enough to give me a cold yesterday. So, I am here at home with a tremendous Head Cold. You know pressure in my face, sinuses and ears. After hours of nagging uh, I mean, begging or negotiating (yes thats a better word for it), my wife talked me into going to the Doctor (actually a nurse practitioner right at Walgreens, right next to the prescription window pretty cool!), I never go to the doctor. Here I am groggy from Nyquil and Antibiotics making a video and writing an article. I guess I am addicted to sitting in front of my computer screen. I am now reflecting on the last J.O.B. I had and what it was like to be sick when I worked there. They actually had a disciplinary point system for sick calls. If you accrued 8 points you were in jeopardy of being suspended and if you accrued 10 points you were terminated! If you were a good little employee for three months you would bank 2 points and they would reward you with a gift. Crazy, I know but, true. I have been certifiably unemployable since I left that job and I am proud of it. It would be like putting me in a cage to go back to the corporate grind. Because of my current business I am accountable to myself only and for me that is plenty. I probably work much harder than the masses but, on my on schedule. If I want to drop everything and take my family to a cabin in the mountains for a few days, I do it! If my wife wants to go on a date, I surprise her and if my beautiful, caring, joyous son gives me a head cold and I need a few days to hibernate in a penicillin coma, no problem! My business continues on automatic. It is a great life and I sincerely want to share it with you if you are certifiably unemployable. If you are passionate about wanting to make your own life a success with only yourself (and perhaps me) to account to, if you want a business that generates income while you vacation, spend time with your family, sleep or rebound from a head cold.
