subject: The Best European Travel Deals [print this page] If you are planning to visit anywhere for a holiday, the best place to start looking into are European travel deals. Like The US, Europe has so many different countries and cities that you could visit, it could literally take months to visit all of them. There are two main things you want to look into when planning your trip to Europe in order to make this the most pleasant trip yet. First off, you need to consider that while Europe is another country, it still can get quite expensive to stay here and eat - especially true if you plan on visiting all the culture ridden spots and restaurants in the area you will be staying.
For lodging you have two or three options available to you. You can either stay in a hostel, hotel or you can rent a home. Honestly, most people would probably be more into renting a home because you have all the comforts of home and it's more private, but the choice is up to you. For entertainment, lodging, and transportation issues, you need to start looking into European travel deals. These deals might be individually, or they might include package deals with car rentals, airplane tickets and lodging. In a lot of cases it's better to get the packaged deal because you can get better prices for this option, but again it depends on you. Next, you need to start looking into transportation as far as how to get from Point A to Point B while you are staying in the location you are at. Most of the time a car rental will do the trick, but if you plan to travel long distances, you can start taking a look at the Euro Pass or a British train. If you choose this option, be sure to check the Eurail schedule online and plan out your trip accordingly. The last thing you want to do is be stuck not knowing where you are, where you are going or how you are going to get there - especially in a country you've never been to before! It's always better to plan out your itinerary before you go on your trip.
This doesn't mean it has to be head over heels boring, you can still have a lot of fun while doing a scheduled trip. If anything, make sure you know the streets and locations around you. A lot of countries in Europe will do things completely different than they do in the US. For example, most of the street signs in the US, are on corners with either poles or hanging from the phone or light wires on the corner. In a place like Germany, it's the complete opposite, all the cross streets, side streets and main streets meet in one jumbled intersection. And the signs are even more horrible because they scattered all over the place - on fences, on the ground, even on buildings!
