Tianjin is a part of China that is yet to be discovered fully by the rest of the world. Boasting a rich culture and unique history, there is much to be explored in this city. In its splendid past, Tianjin was dominated by Britain, Germany, France, Belgium, Japan, Italy and Russia.

Among the many tourist attractions to visit in the city, visitors will find the Dagu Emplacement, Water Park, Gu Wenhu Jie, Dule Temple, Hotel Street, Haihe River, a portion of the Great Wall of China, Tianjin TV & Radio Tower, Food Street, Panshan Mountain and Zhonghuan Callian.

The Water Park in Tianjin can be found in the Nankai District and is the largest urban and recreational park in the city. Covering an area of over 126 hectares, the Water Park is considered among the top ten best tourist attractions in Tianjin.

More than half of the park is covered by water, whilst the rest of the area is divided in to 12 small islands that are connected by bridges. The scenery around the area is quite attractive with weeping willows, peach trees and lotus flowers in bloom. Several Chinese pagodas and gardens can also be admired, where this unique gardening style is beautifully portrayed.

Activities that can be enjoyed at the park include a giant ferris wheel, swimming pools, a skating rink, row boats, or a ride on a speedy water shuttle. The activities at the Water Park vary depending on the time and season, for instance during autumn visitors can enjoy a spectacular Chrysanthemum Show and in spring a Tulip Show.

A cultural attraction also resides within the Water Park, known as the Ten Thousand Buddha Island. Here, visitors can take a look at the way and life of Lord Buddha depicted through murals.
