Online Typing Job In The Medical Field

Why do I want to be a medical transcriptionist? It's the perfect gig for me, I think. I LOVE to type, and I always wanted to have an online typing job in the medical field. I am beginning my 30's and I decided to have a career change. This seems to be a great career to fall back on, a part-time gig or who knows? Maybe I'll enjoy home typist jobs more than expected and will excel more than expected. I was actually flying home the other day from vacation and sat next to a doctor. We got a talkin and this came up. I immediately came home and couldn't wait to get online to see what it was all about and how much.

Some of the advantages of working in the MT industry are numerous. Improvement in typing skills and grammar is always a need in the working world today. Yes, times are tough and at least this has job security which is hard to come by these days. The sense that I have control over how much I would like to work or that I always can work makes me feel secure and safe. Having the ability to work from home and making my own hours I think is just an added bonus. A great bonus! But being able to make my own schedule is wonderful so I can still maintain my current job, if that's the path I choose. This course caught my eye for a couple of reasons. For one, I like how I will receive a text book and CD-ROM so I can read at my own pace. Some courses were literally online, and I don't want to sit in front of my computer wasting electric when I can sit with a text book and highlight. Also it comes with the foot pedal which, from what I understand, I'm going to need anyways. Another reason I'm interested in this particular course is because of the payment options and not to mention the scholarships available, whatever happened to those? It is recession, and really? Nobody has money anymore like they used to. I think it's wonderful that this company understands that and is sensitive to the situation even by offering scholarships at random. It just shows you're really trying to help the people and not just trying to make as much money as possible. I've looked at other sites that were much more and wanted payment either in full or half. I can't do that. I thought this was the medical industry? Aren't we here to help people, even the ones that are trying to help themselves and others? I hope that I am able to work after I graduate from this course. That's the only thing I have questions about. It seems some of the wording, I'm afraid, makes me think otherwise like this isn't a legit course. Like it's a prerec, but I'm sure it's my misunderstanding. I'm so excited and I can't wait to begin!! I hope to be finished by 6 months the latest. Like everything I do in life, I want to be the best I can be. Looking forward to my new career!
