Moomomi Beach On Molokai, Hawaii

On the small island of Molokai, you can find the relatively secluded Moomomi Beach.

The Moomomi Beach is a beautiful and white sand beach, but there are sections of the beach that are rocky.

Moomomi Beach is located on Molokai's northeastern coast. The area that surrounds Moomomi Beach and the surrounding area that offers one of most amazing sand dunes found anywhere in Hawaii.

The sand dunes are enormous in size and were formed over many centuries. In several areas, the sand dunes actually extend inland for greater than four miles.

The blue, sparkling ocean waters at Moomomi Beach are incredible and the waves are very attractive.

The bay itself is both rocky and shallow. It's honestly not a very good place to swim due to the strong current and sharp rocks, particularly in the inter months, when the surf and tides are very rough.

This stretch of Molokai coastline at one time was a very popular fishing area. Fishing is still popular today.

Moomomi Beach, the nearby sand dunes are all part of the Moomomi Preserve. These reserves are run by the Nature Conservancy of Hawaii.
