subject: Activities To Keep Kids Happily Busy In Brisbane [print this page] If you are going to Brisbane with the family, you will want to look online and do some planning before you go. There is plenty of stuff that the kids will enjoy. If you look at what is available and plan ahead then you won't waste any time with nothing to do once you arrive.
There are a ton of fun swimming activities for the little guys. Of course the beach is there, but that can be stressful with very small kids. There are lovely pools that have closer parameters and make it easier to keep everyone in sight and busy. There are some spectacular pools that have a lot of fun additions that kids love.
Play time can be educational and interesting at some area museums. At the Science Center you can get into some fun experiments and look at some local strange creatures too. Upstairs is the Queensland art gallery that has some cool workshops that the kids can do with local artists. The same goes for the Gallery of Modern Art, and there is of course all of the incredible art to view too.
For those that love furry creatures, you have to go see the koalas and wallaby's at the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. It will take you 15 minutes to get there from the city, but it is worth the drive. The kids can get hands on with some of the animals. There are also kangaroos , snakes, and birds there too.
Take them to the library. The Library offers many kids programs and also includes a story time. This serves as a good way to keep those little ones entertained. Since the kids love to stay active, consider taking them skating or rock climbing. The region has several skate rinks, both roller and ice to allow kids to come and expend some energy. There are also various rock climbing adventures around Brisbane, both inside and out that make for a fun time for the whole family.
