Selling affiliate products is a good start for beginners as you will not lose anything. Affiliate products are actually products from certain companies that you will promote through the web and whenever sales are made you will receive commissions.
If you prefer to sell your own products make sure that they are of good quality. If it is just the opposite, your reputation might get ruined and you will lose your customer's trust.
