Themed Christmas Cards - Share Your Holiday Spirit

Christmas cards are just as much a part of Christmas as Christmas trees and Santa are. Despite the advent of animated e-cards, there is still something appealing and enduring about the tactility, smell, and appearance of a good ol' fashioned Christmas card.

One way to improve your holiday tradition of Christmas card sending is by selecting themed Christmas cards. Themed Christmas cards will come in boxes or packages of cards that have envelopes to match. Each card has the same theme. While the pictures and messages will vary from card to card, the look, size, and overall appearance are all the same.

Variations on a Theme

Christmas card options are endless these days. And so are options for themed Christmas cards. If it's Elvis you're in love with, chances are you can find a themed Christmas card collection featuring Elvis. Traditional designs abound, as do Scripture themes, Nativity themes, Santa themes, Christmas painting themes, food themes, gift themes, Christmas tree themes, animal themes, gingerbread man themes, snowman themes, reindeer themes, elf themes, cartoon character themes...you begin to get the idea.

The Fun of Themed Christmas Cards

Themed Christmas cards are a great idea for a variety of reasons, but the bottom line isthey are a lot more fun. Here is a list of some of the advantages you will enjoy with themed Christmas cards.

Saves time

Have you ever spent a considerable portion of your day poring over the thousands of picked-over cards in the card section at the storeonly to come away with one or two that are really to your liking? Me too. Until I discovered themed Christmas cards, I spent precious portions of time trying to find a card with just the right message, mood, theme, verse, phrase, picture, size or price. Hopeless endeavor. Themed Christmas cards solved that problem. At last, I was able to find one look that I really liked, so I bought a couple boxes. That put an end to my selection problem.. permanently. Now, I'm hooked on one theme, and my only problem now is making sure that my friends don't receive the same card of that theme twice.

Saves money

It feels a bit odd at first to shell out a hunk of cash for cards. When you realize what you will be saving, it is worth it. Buying one quality Christmas card could cost you as much as three dollars. Buying the same or superior quality card in a themed set is going to cost you mere pennies. The savings factor is reason enough to go with themed Christmas cards.

Stays consistent

It keeps things consistent, too. If someone thanks you for the great Christmas card, you probably aren't thinking "Hmm. Was that the Bugs Bunny card or the reindeer card? All your cards have the same theme.

Maintains balanced variety

Variety is good, too. Any themed set will have a rotation of three to five pictures, mottos, or designs, so you're not getting, say, fifty of the same exact card. The variety is helpful. It keeps things interesting as you're jotting notes to friends or stuffing envelopes with cards. Sometimes, the card has a series of paintings by the same artist, or may contain different Christmas greetings or Scripture verses.

Themed cards are the way to go this Christmas. If you haven't tried them yet, I assure youyou won't be disappointed.
