Inactive or active, for the professional or novice, Himachal has a slot of adventure for one and all. Fagu may not be a major spot but the destination does have some disclosures for those who aspire to tramp the offbeat path.

Fagu Nearly 22km from Shimla and 6km from Kufri,Fagu is a beautiful destination for the people who want peace and serenity.

Fagu is full of picturesque sights of ranges and valleys. It offers a fine base for discovering the close by scenery which is surrounded with orchards and forests.

In close proximity are the shrines of the local god, Banthia devta, which demonstrates some spectacular exercises in woodcarving.

Kufri Adventure in Shimla

Situated just 17 km east of Shimla at an altitude of 2,624 it is a heaven and joy for Adventure admirers. Very few places in the world are as opulently gifted as Himachal. Rivers bubbling throughout deep stony canyons, low undulating hills, mountains that are at least thousand feet high, jaded alpine meadows, composed lakes, are all a part of this beautiful place. At the modest township of Kufri, you would observe extended ranges of mountains dressed with pure white snow.

Winter Sports In Kufri

Skiing

Kufri is an exclusively great destination for winter sports. Accurately, Kufri brag off for the oldest ski slopes in the entire Himachal. The winter sport became famous some 20 years ago by some local teenagers. Credit goes to their hard work, the slopes at Kufri are crowded with skiers in the whole of winter months.

Other Winter Sports

You can also take pleasure in other winter sports like tobogganing, hiking and horse riding here. Kufri also has heli-skiing provisions. Kufri also has the National Snow Statue Competition somewhere in January where thousands of people gather to participate and witness this event.

Attractions of Wildlife Parks

Do not miss an opportunity to see the Nature Park in Kufri which has animals like the musk deer, ibex, ghoral , black and brown bears and spotted dear, wild fox etc. The closeby Indira Tourist Park has some vast views. The hike up to the Mahasu Peak all the way through woods of spruce and deodar can be great fun. The peak is crowned by a tiny temple. The Mahasu Ridge also has some beautiful slopes for skiing.

Horse Riding

Another activity very popular in Shimla is horse riding. Horses can be taken on rent at Rs 30 to Rs 160 for traveling around the valleys and hills.
